ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY (PRM)
Person with reduced mobility (PRM): a person whose mobility is reduced when using transport due to a permanent or temporary physical, sensory, or locomotor disability, mental disability or impairment, or any other cause of disability, or due to age, and whose condition requires appropriate attention and adaptation to their specific needs of the service provided to all passengers" (see Regulation (EU) 181/2011 - art. 3, paragraph 1, letter t).
Milan Bus Station guarantees full accessibility to the bus station for persons with reduced mobility (PRM) and disabled people, as the bus station (e.g., routes, access points, platforms, sidewalks, etc.) is free of architectural barriers, with any height differences being eliminated by ramps accessible to wheelchairs and wheelchair users. Inside the bus station, there are loges routes for the visually impaired, and tactile maps are available to provide more comprehensive assistance.
Travel assistance for disabled passengers and persons with reduced mobility (PRM) is guaranteed by each carrier. Passengers with disabilities or PRM must contact the carrier in advance to obtain such assistance upon departure or arrival.
A self-cleaning bathroom accessible to disabled passengers is available to the public 24/7 at the bus station.
Ticket office staff are trained on the information to be provided upon request by PRM, including regarding the rights provided for by EU Regulation 2011/181.
